Generally, all major Titan Stores have Service Centers. So next time you want to buy a watch for yourself, try out the following and who knows you get a cool watch for a really really neat deal.

So basics of a watch. There are 2 things which make the watch. 1 is the Moment, which is nothing but the main machinery of the watch and second is body i.e the dial, case, belts etc.

Now every service center has a range of bodies, which they get from the company, incase they have to replace it for a customer whose watch is in warranty. So go check out the range of watch exteriors they have got in stock. If you have a old Titan watch which is in a completely damaged state, do carry it with you cuz that would save you another 200-500 bucks.

So if you buy the body of the watch, the service center would immediately add a brand new "Movement" and make the watch ready for you. So what the deal here? Here is my personal experience

Well, I got a watch which was on display for 2400 Rs. Now we saw the same model also on display in service center and it was priced at 1050 Rs. When we inquired, we learnt that the price is because in 1050 we are getting only the body of the watch. They generally maintain it if a customer would like to replace his body with a newer one.

Now the "Movement" or "Motion" of the watch can be purchased at another 300-500 Rs and you can also negotiate a bit on it. If you have a old watch nothing like it. Just give the non-working body and they would get a brand new Movement for you. So this way the cost incurred is only for the Body of 1050. In case you don't have an old watch, the service center guys have lot in stock to fullfil the requirement of "Replacement" which they have to report to the company.

So in total you end up spending 1050 + 300 = 1350 for the same watch which is around 2400. Now the next big question would hit your smart mind is What About Warranty? Yes there is a 1 year warrant on the watch for servicing and repairs and all what is needed is the original bill of the watch.
